1. Introduction

Welcome to the Barbara Hooton School of Dancing. By enrolling in classes or using our website, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms are designed to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and professional environment for all students.

2. Enrolment

  • All students must complete a registration form prior to attending classes.

  • For students under 18, a parent or guardian must provide consent.

  • Places in classes are subject to availability and are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

3. Fees & Payments

  • Fees must be paid in advance of each term unless otherwise agreed.

  • Payment methods may include bank transfer, cash, or other methods specified by the school.

  • Fees are non-refundable except in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the school.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

  • If a student wishes to withdraw, written notice must be provided.

  • Refunds or credits are not guaranteed and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

  • The school reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes; where possible, alternative classes or credits will be offered.

5. Attendance & Behaviour

  • Students are expected to attend classes regularly and arrive on time.

  • Respectful behaviour towards teachers and other students is required at all times.

  • Disruptive behaviour may result in removal from class without refund.

6. Dress Code

  • Students must wear appropriate dance attire and footwear as specified by the school.

  • Hair should be neatly secured where required for safety and presentation.

7. Health & Safety

  • Students (or parents/guardians) must inform the school of any medical conditions or injuries.

  • Participation in dance classes is at the student’s own risk.

  • The school will take all reasonable precautions to ensure safety but cannot accept liability for injuries sustained during classes unless caused by negligence.

8. Photography & Media

  • From time to time, photographs or videos may be taken during classes or performances for promotional purposes.

  • Consent will be requested upon enrolment, and you may withdraw consent at any time in writing.

9. Safeguarding

  • Barbara Hooton School of Dancing is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

  • All staff are expected to adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures.

10. Personal Belongings

  • The school cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal belongings.

  • Students are advised to keep valuables with them at all times.

11. Website Use

  • Unauthorised use of this website may give rise to a claim for damages or be a criminal offence.
